What is SciSummary?

SciSummary is an AI-powered tool that helps researchers, students, and professionals quickly summarize academic papers and organize their research more effectively.

Is it free?

SciSummary offers a 7 day free trial of all AI tools. The trial is limited to 30,000 words but after your first payment you get unlimited summaries. Additionally you may use all non-AI features for free, without entering a credit card.

How many papers can I upload and summarize?

You can upload unlimited papers and summarize unlimited papers after paying for your first month and maintaining an active subscription.

How does SciSummary ensure the accuracy of summaries?

SciSummary uses LLMs and other open source models to summarize research papers. Due to the nature of LLMs SciSummary can produce incorrect results. To ensure accuracy, we add inline citations to each summary so you can check from where in the original paper was each piece of information drawn. You may also highlight any text in a summary and click "Cite this" to get where in the original article the highlighted text was sourced from.

Can I use SciSummary for non-academic documents?

While SciSummary is optimized for academic papers, it can also summarize other types of documents such as reports and technical papers.

Is there a file size limit for uploads?

There is a max file size of 200MB but larger files may yield unexpected results and errors.

Does SciSummary support multiple languages?

Yes, we support over 130 languages.

Can I access my summaries offline?

At the moment, SciSummary requires an internet connection to function, but you can download summaries for offline reference.

How frequently is SciSummary updated?

We regularly update SciSummary with new features, performance improvements, and enhanced AI capabilities based on user feedback.

Does SciSummary integrate with Zotero?

Yes! We allow you to import papers from Zotero using the "Import from Zotero" option when adding articles.
